Discover this place
Galaxy Karaoke in Cleveland offers a distinctive karaoke bar experience that combines fun, modern decor, and a decent selection of songs, particularly in Japanese pop. Located at 1593 E 30th St, it is a popular hangout that caters to both small gatherings and larger parties, with private rooms available for rent. Reviewers have noted the vibrant atmosphere, with several microphones provided to encourage group singing, although some have mentioned that the song selection could be more diverse, especially concerning Western music.
While the ambiance and the affordable pricing for drinks stand out, customers like Susan Seacrist enjoyed the interactive environment, highlighting that many songs are more like sing-alongs. However, others, like Peachy Keen, expressed frustration with the high costs of room rentals and what they perceived as an lack of complimentary services, such as water. In contrast, dishes like mozzarella sticks and chicken wings have received mixed feedback, with some feeling they were secondary to the karaoke experience. Matthew Hartman suggested reserving more than the minimum two hours to truly immerse in the fun.
Ultimately, while Galaxy Karaoke excels in creating an enjoyable space for music lovers, balancing the pricing and service offerings may enhance the overall experience for future patrons.

Reviews for Galaxy Karaoke
Review highlights
Based on 286 reviewsGalaxy Karaoke in Cleveland is frequently praised for its lively and fun atmosphere, with multiple microphones encouraging group participation and a clean, well-maintained environment. The karaoke system offers a robust selection of popular Japanese songs, appealing to fans of that genre, though its English-language offerings and search functionality can be somewhat limited and less intuitive for non-Mandarin speakers. Customers often recommend booking extended sessions to fully enjoy the experience. However, pricing is a common point of criticism, particularly regarding the high cost of private rooms and limited complimentary amenities such as water, which some feel detracts from overall value. Staff are generally perceived as helpful, contributing positively to the overall visit.
My sister booked for my birthday, there wasn't a large variety of songs
We had a ton of fun at galaxy TV! A lot of the songs are more like sing-alongs and they provide several microphones to the room so several people can join in the fun. We figured out that you can search by Title, but not by artist which helped us find a lot of English-speaking songs.
If you like a popular Japanese music you'll find a lot more of a selection here, they have the big hits but not a very big selection. Recommend going past the minimum 2 hours as that's about the time it takes to really get the party going
It was loads of fun, but ridiculously expensive. Our host rented a private room. They only gave it to us for one hour, and it cost him $100 for 10 of us. Now, granted people bought a few beers and a water, but honest to God, for karaoke and for that price, there should have been free unlimited water. I mean even bars give you free water. They would only offer bottled water, and they wanted to charge $3 per bottle. It wasn't even exotic water or a cool water bottle. It was just very common water. It's irresponsible not to supply your patrons with water. It got really hot in that little room with people trying to get drunk, being embarrassed, laughing, singing and making fools of themselves. I am going to share the prices of the place so you can see how absolutely ridiculous they are. I mean, the place doesn't really need to do food. They need to do salty finger food and lots of alcohol. And free water. We had a good time, but we can have a good time at home with free karaoke on YouTube and unlimited drinks. The decor is fun, galactic, and modern/futuristic. Made for some great pix. Choosing songs was hard since half of the menu is in Korean or something. Some of the songs were not the American or British versions we know even though they claimed to be thru artist and title. Some of the lyrics syncing was off, the notes were off, the background videos were laughable and terrible. They also didn't have ANY country songs which at least 2 people in our group wanted to sing. The guy that came in and checked on us let us stay a little over our 1 hr, but I think we should have been allowed to hang out in the bar area afterwards or something. At least they didn't throw us out and weren't rude to us. Still, we won't be back.
Lots of fun, room was clean and the staff were helpful enough. The karaoke machine, while modern, was counterintuitive to use. If you know Mandarin you’ll probably have an easier time. English only speakers— good luck.
Cool place, glad it’s in Cleveland. But the karaoke system is buggy. Search doesn’t work, we ended up using YouTube. Which was a hassle. If the systems are more user friendly(and there are actually people who can show you how to use it), it would get a 5 star rating. They were out of half of the snacks. But Good lighting and private rooms.
